Lyrics - Mermaid Lullaby

From the Viking Voyage episode.

Tyrone: Rest my little darling
You’ve had a busy day
The sun is a'falling
And it’s time for me to say

Together: Hush, hush, hush little mermaid,
Good night.
Hush, hush little mermaid,
Sleep tight.
Close your eyes,
Close your eyes and lay down your head,
In your peaceful ocean bed.
Have a snooze, please, like I said and
Hush, hush, hush little mermaid,
Good night.
Hush little mermaid,
Sleep tight.

Tasha (spoken): I'm feeling a little sleepy.

Tyrone: You’re feeling kind of sleepy,
Uniqua: You’re feeling kind of loopy,
Pablo: Your fins are getting floppy,
Tyrone: And your eyelids getting droopy.

Uniqua: May your dreams be sweet,
As you fall into a snooze.
Perhaps again we’ll meet,
But now we have to cruise.

Together: So hush, hush, hush little mermaid,
Good night.
Hush, hush little mermaid,
Sleep tight.
Hush, hush little mermaid,
Good night.
Hush little mermaid,
Hush little mermaid,
Good night.

  7. I absolutely adore the backyardigans. My 2 half year old daughter just loves to sing along! She always wants me to sing the Mermaid lullaby while she's in the bath. She puts her little hands together and puts it on the side of her face, just like Tasha, soooo sweet!

  19. I have actually written a blog about the lullabies that I sing to my kids, feel free to check it out, but I wanted to thank you for posting this as my 6th child is my newest little princess (still cooking her though) and this is her lullaby... it would be the last babies but uh, I feel weird looking at twin two and 3/4 year old BOYS and calling them mermaids, I am looking for a lulaby to sing to them that I sound and Sesame Street. If you are into it, check out my blog and if you know or can find the lyrics and the tune to the "I've got enough love to go around" that would be wonderful, otherwise THANKS so much again for posting the lyrics to this one GOSH it's my fav too.
