From Race to the Tower of Power. Sung to the tune of "Three Blind Mice".
Pablo and Tyrone: Key to the World
The Key to the World
In the Tower of Power
In the Tower of Power
Tyrone: If we get the Key we'll win,
Our evil empire will begin,
We won't let the superheroes in-
Both: -to the Tower of Power
The Tower of Power
Wa-ha-ha-ha-haaa
Pablo: The Tower of Power is very tall,
And up in the top is the Key.
Tyrone: (The Key!)
We'll find it, and grab it,
And keep it, and have it,
And rule the world you and me.
Pablo: Key to the World
The Key to the World
In the Tower of Power
In the Tower of Power
Tyrone: Let's hurry now and grab it quick,
So we can fill the world with ick.
The superheroes they make me sick!
Both: To the Tower of Power
The Tower of Power

I've been wondering what the lrics were to that song! Thanks for posting it!
ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer. Thank you for visiting and commenting on my blog Blogger for Dummies. Looking forward to your visits again. Just to let you know Blogger for Dummies may not be updated but all new posts for the time being will go to Blogger Tips and Tricks while I ponder what to do. This is because of trademark issues.
ReplyDeleteI have to ask, Is this your belief on the lyrics or are they posted somewhere else. Personally I thought the last stanza was Cell Phone Facing Day, not self-effacing day.
ReplyDeleteThanks
I listen to the song as it plays on the show (I have all the episodes recorded, except High Tea which hasn't aired in the U.S. yet.) Usually it's not too hard to figure out what the words are, but if I get stuck I can always turn on the closed captioning, which tells me exactly what the words are supposed to be. Although, I have noticed that the singers throw in slight phrase changes or extra words sometimes. In that case I go with what was sung, instead of what was in the captions.
ReplyDeletewhat about this instance, Cell phone facing, makes more sence to the backyardigans than self-effacing, was this closed captioned or what? Thanks
ReplyDeleteI went and checked, and it is self-effacing. If you think about it, it makes sense, because racing day is about trying to win, and if you're being self-effacing then you wouldn't be doing that.
ReplyDeleteThanks
